With an unprecidented influx of new clients, the formation of Piranha Motorsport and its entries onto three of the UK's major race packages, 2010 is without question my busiest season yet.
Sadly the number date clashes with TOCA and British GT meetings mean for the first time in 3 years I will be unable to regularly coachthe drivers at Fauldsport, something that was becomming part of my routine. However, I could'nt think of stronger line up to leave Stuart Faulds with. In Caterham R300 he has of course James Sharrock who is joined by my star Caterham driver of the last 2 years and multiple Champion Trevor Fowell, along with the never to be underestimated Paul Brannan. Right there are 3 drivers who know how to win Caterham races rom experience. Joining them will be Mike Rowland who is a bit of dark horse in this field comming from the much more random class of Caterham Graduates racing. The team are joined by Adam Balon who is not coached by me.
Also in Caterham R300 but with SPY Motorsport will be Caterham Classics Champion Flick Haige. Her car control, determination and focus should stand her in good stead in what is unquestionably going to be the most competitive Caterham race series in many years. I will be working with Flick to help make this significant transition easier.
Great news on the Roadsports front is that both Jonathan Ramsay, Simon Roche and Jamie Orton are staying with Faulsport for another season. Both JRam and Jamie are sue for wins and I will be amazed if they don't do it this year. The new Supersports class for Ford Sigma engined cars is also looking very strong with client Paul Begley looking like the championship favourite at the moment but with Rod Arnold and the 2009 Academy Champions ready to pinch it from him.
In addition to this I'm coaching drivers with potenial to win in Historic Touring Car Racing and the Porsche Club Series. Its going to be a very full on year with the seasonal wave hitting this weekend carrying me in a blurr all the way the November.
