2008 quick recap

James Sharrock, Porsche scholarship winner Lewis Hopkins and JJ O’Malley dominated the last 6 rounds of the ultra competitive Caterham Roadsports A Championship with total novice racers Adam Ferenczi and Paul Wilson running regularly inside the top 10 to reiterate the value of coaching even with no track experience.

In Roadsport B Anthony Sidery-Woollett won his first race straight after coaching and I cannot write anything without mentioning Trevor Fowell who was a totally dominant winner of the Caterham Academy.

In other series long standing client Chris Bialan won the VdeV UK Championship often outpacing so called professional drivers once again demonstrating that coaching is’nt about racing lines but how to understand and work with your car so we can use what ever talent we have to its maximum in anything.

MG Cockshoot trophy multiple winner Helen Waddington had her best ever season winning some very prestigious MG car Club trophies in both sprints and races. Best off all Helen improved her pace by on average 3 seconds a lap after our first day together.

Saxmax racer Declan Armstrong had a fustrating start to his year but demonstrated his pace and understanding of what we had worked on with some awsome performances in the few races he did generally finishing on the podium after avoiding accidents from others. Zoe Wenham also began training with me in 2008 but various problems with the car on training and race days prevented us really getting to show the potential of this rapid young lady racer. Next year I am sure will be different as she now runs with an enthusiastic Saxmax team.

2009 looks like another strong year with details to follow soon. However, I can say I have another strong line up for Caterham R300’s, Roadsports A and B and Saxmax Championships.
